The playboy thing
Why is playboy considered fashionable? It's atrocious! (Sorry for the old-fashioned word...but it sounds right!)
Girls in my school have playboy EVERYTHING! It's so stupid...Yeah, it's a cute logo, but don't they know it stands for years of exploitation? I'm sick of it. So think before you buy something as innocent as a playboy pencil case...there's a lot of history behind it.

I believe your slamming of Playboyu is not entirely fair or justified. Here's why.
Playboy does not represent exploitation. In fact Playboy is far more tasteful than the vast majority of pornographic magazines and the models used in it are never mistreated or asked to do anything they feel uncomfortable with. This is a strictly adhered to policy of the magazine.
Just because a woman is willing to expose her body does not mean she is being exploited. Nudity and exploitation have no correlation whatsoever. Dannii Minogue, the Australian singer, referred to her photoshoot with Playboy as "a really liberating, empowering experience." The vast majority of models who choose (I stress choose) to pose for Playboy have a similar experience.
while you are right that the pornography industry in general is open to claims of mistreating its models, do not mistake Playboy for one of the magazines which allows mistreatment to happen.
The exploitation of which you speak can best be countered by, in fact, heartily supporting Playboy and its aims to promote modesty and restraint in the midst of a pornographic culture which often refuses to accept any moral liability.
Supporting Playboy by buying their merchandise ultimately helps to reduce the marketshare of other, less scrupulous purveyors of this sort of material, and can therefore be seen as a positive role in the elimination of exploitation in the pornographic industries.
